Our Taita Overnight Safari is particularly beloved by our clients, thanks to the stay at the lodge. A top choice among travelers seeking luxury accommodations, the Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge offers a lavish safari retreat nestled in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. It boasts an extraordinary view over a waterhole and the expansive Tsavo plains, making it a unique luxury escape.
Day 1: Mombasa – Taita Hills
Depart Mombasa early in the morning at 6:00 Am and journey to the Taita Hills Sanctuary. This sanctuary lies on the cusp of Southern Tsavo West National Park serving as a vital space for wildlife dispersal and migration between Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks. Upon arriving at the lodge, check-in and enjoy lunch. The afternoon is yours to relax. Later, embark on an evening game viewing drive, culminating in a sunset observation at the waterhole (weather permitting).
Day 2: Taita Hills – Mombasa
Greet the day with an early morning game drive at sunrise. After breakfast at the lodge, check out and begin the drive back to Mombasa. Upon arrival, you'll be dropped off at your city residence or resort.
