Join one of the most amazing Amazon tours. Exploring the creeks, rivers, and lakes of the Amazon Jungle. You will be able to trek, and camp, out in the Amazon rainforest. Learn from your local Guide's secrets about the region.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Begin of the Trip - At 07:30 am you will be picked up from your hotel and transported to the Port Ceasa, where you’ll board our boat to see the magnificent meeting of the waters at the junction of the Rio Negro and Amazon Rivers. From there you will be taken to the small floating village of Catalao, where you will see up close the giant-scaled Pirarucu (Arapaima Gigas). You’ll have the chance to see and feed this giant fish of the Amazon. The trip will continue for 1.5 hours by car on the highway to the Ubim Lake. From the Ubim Lake, you’ll continue by speed boat on a 30 to 50-minute ride (depending on the level of the waters during the time of year of your visit). Arriving at the lodge, you will be welcomed with refreshments as your accommodations are prepared.

At noon lunch is served. Afterward, there is a little time to relax and to prepare things for the activities of this first day. At 02:30 pm the group will depart by motorized canoe for piranha fishing, bird watching and a wonderful sunset from the middle of the river. After returning to the lodge, dinner will be served at 7pm.

After dinner you will depart again by motorized canoe, this time to spot Cayman. Your guide, using only his bare hands, will capture a Cayman and explain this most-feared animal of the Amazonian rivers. There will be opportunities to get great photos of this beautiful creature.

Day 2: Jungle Trek - From 5:30am-6:30am, you’ll board a small canoe to witness the awakening of nature with the first rays of the sun as the silence is slowly broken by the songbirds and creatures that call this area home. At 7:00am breakfast is served at the lodge. From 8:00am-11:30am, we will be jungle trekking and your guide will explain about the flora, fauna and medicinal plants found only in the Amazon. There is also a chance to observe spiders and other animals. At noon, it is back to the Lodge for lunch.

at 2:30pm the group will depart to visit an indigenous community where you will attend an indigenous ritual celebration of dancing and singing. This is a great opportunity for photos and videos! Next the group will visit the Vazea area of the Ariau River which is a great place to spot some wild life including monkeys and birds. Afterwards the group will return to the lodge arriving at 5:45pm. Dinner is served at 7pm. After dinner the group will leave by motorboat for a night safari with a spot light along the river banks looking for nocturnal creatures.

Day 3: Explore and Camp in the Jungle - After breakfast, (8am to 11am), the group will explore local streams via kayak. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to not only see but swim with the dolphins, the wonderful and legendary mammals of the Amazonian rivers. This is also a fantastic opportunity to get once-in-a-lifetime photos and video! After your swim, it is back to the lodge for a midday meal.

At 3 pm, the group, together with your guide, will go camping for a night in the forest where you will sleep in hammocks with mosquito nets. During the campout, food is prepared by the group along with the guide. During your night in the jungle, you will learn about some local legends of the Amazon Region and listen to the night time sounds of the rain forest

Day 4: Final Jungle Trek and Return - After a breakfast prepared by your guide, you’ll set off on another trek of the jungle. During this trek your guide will tell you about the local flora, fauna and animals that make this region so unique. Afterward, you will return to the lodge for lunch and to begin preparing for our journey back to Manaus.
