Immerse yourself in the vibrant and genuine ambiance of Paris far beyond the usual tourist trails with this captivating Food Tour. Your culinary journey begins in the historic heart of the city, the legendary Place de la Bastille, nestled in the 12th arrondissement on the right bank of Paris. A stone's throw away from the Seine river and the Marais district, you'll indulge in a quintessential Parisian breakfast that sets the tone for the day. From there, navigate through the myriad of nearly hidden passages that lace the area, leading you to the young, fashionable, and inventive vibe that defines it.

The Aligre Market, a haven for gastronomes, operates every morning except Mondays, where vendors eagerly present their fare in the charming Aligre square. This market is a tale of two halves: the indoor Beauvau market offers an array of French and Italian delicacies, fresh seafood, poultry, dairy products, and cut flowers around an old fountain. Meanwhile, the outdoor market provides a fascinating blend of food sellers and antique dealers, creating a unique atmosphere that's part food market and part flea market.

Surrounding shops that specialize in culinary arts further add to the allure, showcasing the diversity and richness that excite even the most passionate gourmets. Delight in wine paired with rich cheese or savories on an ancient wine barrel, integrating with the locals over a hot chocolate or seasonal aperitif.

This experience invites you to live like a local, engaging with storeowners while sampling local cheeses, cured meats, and chocolates. The tour also offers a historical insight into the significance of the Bastille as a symbol of the French revolution.

With only 10 spots available, this intimate tour guarantees a personalized experience, allowing your guide to answer any queries and leisurely lead you through the picturesque neighborhood. Discover a realm filled with tastes, colors, and aromas, designed to enthrall all five senses. Expect between 8 to 10 stops at various markets, with food tastings and bottled water included.

Sampling highlights include wine, coffee, warm baked croissants, cheese, cured meats, French specialties, and several delightful surprises. As this is a walking tour, comfortable shoes are recommended. And remember, Paris weather can be unpredictable, so bringing an umbrella might be wise.

Led by an English-speaking local, your guide will introduce you to some of the finest food shops in the Marais, sharing secrets of wine and food that epitomize French culinary excellence. Tours run from Tuesday to Sunday in the mornings, spanning approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, starting at 10 AM.
