Itinerary

07:30 Departure from your hotel to the Loire Valley Castles.

07:30 Meeting at the Opera Garnier Steps or hotel pick-up (if option booked). Travel 245 km by highway in our air-conditioned Mercedes minivan. A stop will be made at a rest area, during which your guide will share information about French history related to the Loire Valley Castles.

10:30 to 11:45 Visit Leonardo da Vinci's Chateau Clos Lucé, where he spent the last three years of his life. Explore the connection between this castle and the Château Royal d'Amboise through an underground passageway.

11:45 Departure for the wine tasting.

12:00 - 12:50 Wine Tasting at a local family vineyard, learning about ancient wine-making techniques followed by a tasting of local wines.

12:50 Departure to Amboise city for a lunch break.

13:00 - 14:30 Lunch break in Amboise, with recommendations or reservations at local restaurants available upon request.

14:30 Departure to Chaumont sur Loire Castle, a 20-minute drive along the Loire river.

14:50 to 16:10 Visit Chateau de Chaumont, founded in the 10th century and rebuilt in the 15th century. Discover its history and connection to prominent historical figures.

16:10 Departure to Blois, a 20-minute journey to the city.

16:30 - 18:00 Visit the Royal Château of Blois, exploring its diverse architectural styles and rich history as a former royal residence.

18:00 Departure back to Paris with a resting stop on the highway.
