Join our four-day trip and enjoy the untouched nature of the Corcovado National Park, settled in the beautiful region of Osa Peninsula. It is a true jewel of land, water, and life, home to a diverse vegetation and animal species. Walk across the rainforests of Corcovado National Park, unveil the breathtaking waterfalls and discover the marine life during the snorkelling excursion to Caño Island. If you are nature-lover and adventurer you won´t regret to go through this fantastic experience.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Osa Peninsula: The southernmost peninsula in Costa Rica, the nature paradise in Costa Rica. Its diverse vegetation and wildlife are one of the most exciting in the world and its waterfalls and natural pools tempt all nature lovers and adventurers.

Corcovado National Park: The last remaining Pacific lowland rainforest of sustainable size in Central America which has been called the most biologically intense place on earth by the National Geographic Society. It is home to the wild animals, such as tapir, jaguar or scarlet macaws.

Itinerary

Day 1. ARRIVAL SAN JOSÉ – PALMAR SUR (0.45 hrs by flight; included) – OSA PENINSULA (0.5 hrs by boat; included): Upon your arrival to the Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José, make your own way to the gate in order to take the domestic flight to Palmar Sur (between 07:00 and 09:00 am, included). Once you reach a Palma Sur, meet our tour assistant who will assist you with the transfer to the port, where you will embark to a half an hour boat transfer (included) to Osa Peninsula to check-in to your hotel. Have a tasty lunch at the lodge (included). If you’re feeling knackered after the flight, you can stay in the hotel to put your feet up and make the most of the available services. But if you’re itching to start exploring the jungle of the Pacific Ocean, take a walk along the coastline of this private reserve and get a feel of the alluring exotic atmosphere. Wrap up your travelling day by a delicious dinner at the lodge (included).Overnight in Osa Peninsula.

Day 2. OSA PENINSULA – CORCOVADO NATIONAL PARK HIKE – OSA PENINSULA: Wake up early into delicious breakfast at the hotel and make yourself ready for your first Costa Rican expedition. You will be picked up by your guide at your hotel, with who you hike through the Corcovado National Park to the San Pedrillo Station (approx. 3hs). These cool morning hours are the right time to spot wildlife and to observe some of the incredible variety of birds that abound in the park. Along the trail, your guide will spell out the fascinating stories about the wildlife in the rainforest. On the way back you will discover a magnificent waterfall, where you can cool off in one of the shaded pools of the rushing river. Wind your way down the river until you reach the Park Station at San Pedrillo. Right there, under shade trees of the beach, you will enjoy a lavish picnic with fresh fruit and ice-cold drinks (included). Lie down and relax on the soft sanded beach until the afternoon, after then you will take short distance along the coastal trail back to the lodge, for dinner (included).Overnight in Osa Peninsula.

Day 3. OSA PENINSULA – CAÑO ISLAND – OSA PENINSULA: Today let´s explore the beautiful Caño Island. Start your day with a leisurely breakfast, and after meeting your guide at the Gear House of the hotel, where you select your flippers and diving mask. Enjoy a 40 minutes boat ride to the ‘Coral Garden’, with a bit of luck you may also see pilot or humpback whales, and dolphin along the way. The snorkelling site is located within a marine reserve and is a perfect place for spotting a wide variety of fish and marine mammals, such as manta rays, turtles and small white-tipped sharks. Let your senses explore the underwater secrets of the ocean. A picnic lunch is laid out and served at the rancho (included) on the Casa Corcovado long beach, once you will be back, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, enjoy dinner (included).Overnight in Osa Peninsula.

Day 4. DEPARTURE OSA PENINSULA – PALMA SUR (0.5 hrs by boat; included) – SAN JOSE (0.45 hrs by plane; included): Enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel, check-out from the hotel and at the indicated time, hop on the boat transfer that will take you to Palmar Sur airstrip to take a domestic flight to Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José (between 07:00 and 09:00 am, included), from here you may continue with your travel arrangements.
