Discover the Magic of Ubud: A Day of Temples, Waterfalls, and Natural Wonders

A trip on the Bali island is incomplete if you dont visit a temple, one of the historical and popular temples is in Ubud. Explore the famous Tirta Empul temple which is often used as physical and non-physical cleansing which is often called the melukat ritual, besides that you will have a chance to get to know the temple in the cave. Natural scenery and waterfalls are presented in this tour program which will add to the challenge with walking and a little hiking.

An Adventure through Ubud

  • Waterfall Tegenungan:

    This tegenungan is one of the waterfalls in Gianyar Regency, a location not far from the Ubud city. They has large parking facilities, stall drink, entrance counters, restaurants and the destinations are managed by the village community. the location of the waterfall can be seen from above, and to reach the waterfall you will go down stairs that have been well built from time to time to facilitate the path of visitors. You can spend 1 to 2 hours at this location, and prepare a change of clothes if you want to play in the water.

  • Elephant Cave Temple:

    Goa Gajah or Elephant Cave Temple is a combination of Hindu and Buddhist in the location, can be proved with the discovery of symbols related to Ganesh and Buddhist stupas. Spacious location about 5 minutes walk from the parking lot, then you will go down some stairs. at the location you can visit the temple which is in the cave, and also explore the baths, small forest and also around the temple location. You are welcome to enjoy and explore this location for 1 - 1.5 hours.

  • Tirta Empul Temple:

    This temple has a purification concept or bathing pool or pertirta which is used for the melukat ceremony. Melukat is a process of purifying oneself by doing physicals cleaning using water that comes out of the shower in the Tirta Empul pool. The water that comes out and flows from the springs in the temple area pool. To enter this temple, every visitor is required to use a sarong.

  • Rice Terrace Tegallalang:

    Rice terrace Tegallang has a view of rice fields with terraces along the valley of the Ceking Village. The natural texture is used by the local community except to growing rice, it is also used as a tourist spot for visitors to enjoy the view of the rice fields. Every visitor is allowed to walk along the embankment and get to know more about subak irrigation and see the physical form of the rice type.
