Itinerary

  1. Pick-up from Reykjavik:

    Your tour will begin with a driver picking you up from your selected location in Reykjavik. The pick-up time will be arranged based on your booking.

  2. Drive to Thingvellir National Park:

    During the one-hour drive to Thingvellir National Park, your guide will provide background information about Iceland's unique geology and cultural history, as well as details about Silfra and the surrounding area.

  3. Arrival at Silfra Meeting Point:

    Upon arrival at Silfra, you will be greeted by your guide and given your dry suit and snorkeling equipment.

  4. Briefing and Gear-up:

    Your snorkel guide will provide a comprehensive briefing on how to use the equipment and ensure your comfort during the tour. This briefing will take approximately one hour.

  5. Entry to Silfra:

    Once fully dressed, your group will receive a number from the park ranger, which will determine your entry sequence into the water. You will then make your way to the entry platform.

  6. Snorkeling Tour:

    Your snorkeling tour of Silfra will last approximately 30 to 45 minutes, during which you will explore the four main parts of Silfra: Big Crack, Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, and Silfra Lagoon.

  7. Exit and Return to Meeting Point:

    After the snorkeling tour, you will exit through the platform and walk back to the meeting point, approximately 250 meters away.

  8. Hot Chocolate and Cookies:

    Upon returning to the meeting point, you will be offered hot chocolate and cookies to warm up and refresh after the snorkeling adventure.

  9. Interaction with Guide and Photos:

    You will have the opportunity to chat with your guide, ask questions, and view photos taken during the tour.

  10. Conclusion of Tour:

    The tour concludes at the meeting point, where you can purchase souvenirs or additional services if desired.
