Itinerary Overview
Day 1: Transfer to Tortuguero
Embark on an exclusive journey from San Jose to Tortuguero, starting with a bus ride to Guapiles Town followed by a 90-minute boat trip through diverse ecosystems. Upon arrival at Pachira Lodge, guests are welcomed with a cocktail and lunch. After settling in, the afternoon is free to explore the museum, beach, and the charming town of Tortuguero. End the day with a delightful dinner at the lodge. Guests will spend 2 nights at the 3-star Pachira Lodge.
Day 2: Exploring Tortuguero National Park
After breakfast at Pachira Lodge, the adventure continues with either a hike up Tortuguero Hill or a boat trip along the famed Tortuguero Canals, immersing guests in the park's extraordinary flora and fauna. Post-tour, lunch awaits back at the lodge. The afternoon is open for personal exploration, whether it's hiking the private trails, boating, or simply relaxing. Dinner is provided at the hotel with an optional night tour to witness the green turtles nesting (available July through September). Please note, entrance fees to Tortuguero Park are not included.
Day 3: Departure to San Jose
Begin the day with breakfast at the lodge before departing back to San Jose, with lunch en route. Guests are expected to arrive back in the capital by mid-afternoon, marking the end of the adventure.
